The Global Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP) is an innovative tripartite partnership between academia, insurance supervisors, and the insurance industry in Asia. Our vision is to create a more resilient future. We do this through:
- catalysing action on emerging and accelerating risks; and

The role
We are currently looking for a Non-Life Manager / Associate Director who can support our activities, primarily under GAIP's policy think tank and talent development pillars. Key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking quantitative and qualitative research, analysis and preparing written materials in support of GAIP's policy research;
- Supporting GAIP talent development initiatives to achieve our talent development goals;
- Assisting in project management of initiatives and projects where such support is required; and
Providing ad hoc support to the team, on both projects and internal operations, as required.
What you bring
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- More than 5 years of experience in non-life or general insurance field;
- Tertiary and professional qualification in relevant fields such as actuarial, data analytics, engineering, maths etc.;
- Experience in non-life insurance actuarial modelling, and/or natural catastrophe risk modelling will be preferred;
- Proficiency in programming (eg. Python, R etc.) and Excel skills, including data analysis, modelling, and visualisation will be preferred.
- Good analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and a keen sense of curiosity;
- Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries and to function effectively both as a member of a team and individually as required;
- To be a self-starter, with a demonstrated high level of initiative;
- Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards; and
- Fluency in written and oral communication in English. Additional language skills are an advantage;
Also
- Experience in the financial services public sector (regulatory or supervisory), especially in Singapore, is an advantage;
- Singapore citizen or permanent resident preferred.
