Insurance & Asset Management Industry Specialist, World Economic Forum
Daniel Murphy is an Insurance & Asset Management Industry Specialist at the World Economic Forum. At the Forum, Daniel leads the ongoing Insurance Strategies for Extreme Heat Resilience initiative which advances innovative products and partnerships to address the impact of extreme heat and related climate perils. Daniel has also worked with the Forum's Insurance Industry Community to facilitate research and impact driven initiatives on other key topics shaping the industry including the longevity economy and climate adaptation. Before the Forum, Daniel was a Fulbright Research Fellow in Cali, Colombia and worked with the Rockefeller Foundation's 100 Resilient Cities programme which accelerated funding for sustainable infrastructure development and bolstering climate resilience. Daniel holds a Masters Degree from Columbia University in the City of New York in International Economic and Political Development. Daniel is originally from Boston and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
