Shekaran holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the National University of Singapore and has been a Partner since 2005. He is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and a member of CPA Australia. Currently, he is a member of the Accounting Standards Committee in Singapore and member of Medishield Life Council. He is also on the Board of The Esplanade Co. Ltd. and on the Board of Trustees of Singapore University of Social Sciences.
