Associate Director
Yao is currently the Associate Director at the Global Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP).
Her diverse professional background spans the private sector and INGOs. Previously, Yao worked as a consultant at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue, supporting projects to develop international norms of behaviour in cyberspace.
She also has six years of experience with Cigna and Manulife, where she held roles covering 20 international markets across the US, EMEA, and APAC regions, focusing on actuarial pricing, cost management, and financial planning and analysis.
Yao has a Master of Science in Economics from Singapore Management University, where she made the Dean's List. Additionally, she holds an MBA, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics (with Department Distinction) and International Studies from the University of Denver.
